Tove Alexandersson was the big favorite when today’s Swedish Championship long-distance competition was decided in the woods outside Gothenburg.
But it was clear early on that something was wrong with the Swedish megastar. Already after 1.2 kilometers he was 42 seconds behind the leader Sanna Fast, and the distance was increasing with the passage of time.
