Lived with threat – walked with a gun

A 27-year-old criminal was found murdered in the middle of Årstabron.
Several times before he has been the target of an assassination attempt and, among other things, has survived gunfire.
– I have many enemies, he said when he was arrested with a gun a few years ago.
Passersby called the police shortly after 1 o’clock on Thursday night.
In a pedestrian and bicycle lane in Stockholm’s Årstabron lay a bloody body.
The ambulance began to take measures to save his life, but the man was pronounced dead on the spot.
According to information to Aftonbladet, the victim, who was 27 years old, had injuries to the upper part of the body. A sleeve should also be found near the man.

According to the police survey, the 27-year-old murder victim belonged to a network in southern Stockholm that had been involved in several bloody conflicts.
He has a long criminal past with an extensive criminal record. He has also served various prison terms.
The man has committed both violent crimes and crimes of a less serious nature. He has also been a suspect in a high-profile murder in which a young man was shot and killed on a sports field. However, after several months in custody, he was dropped from the investigation.

A security guard who met him armed with a knife outside a pub in 2014 described the 27-year-old criminal gangster as “very dangerous.” The guard also said he stayed “because his job requires it, but if he had been in private he would have escaped from the scene.”
The 27-year-old himself has survived a series of acts, including two assassination attempts.
As recently as last winter, he was shot in the face and seriously injured.

During the afternoon of Thursday and the night before Friday, the police carried out technical investigations in Liljeholmskajen, near the bridge where the murdered man was found.
I had a gun ready for protection
When he was arrested in the summer of 2015 with a sharp pistol at his waist, he said he had a threat against him.
The 27-year-old explained that possession of the weapon was “good to have as a kind of self-defense” and said he was armed “as protection against a threat.”
– Many enemies, what to say. The police suspect me of crimes that I have not committed and after that I have made many enemies, he said in a police questioning in 2015.
At the same time, he told about another assassination attempt to which he was subjected, which according to Aftonbladet’s information occurred in 2014 in the southern part of Stockholm.
– They shot me and left.

No person has yet been arrested for Thursday’s murder.
The case is being investigated as part of the gang conflict in Stockholm’s “underworld”.
The police conducted an initial search for suspects, but then the work turned to the so-called internal reconnaissance.
On Thursday night and into the night into Friday, just over a day after the Årstabron alarm, forensic technicians blocked a large area in Liljeholmen. According to the information, traces of blood were found in places that are connected to the bridge through smaller roads and trails.
The police do not want to comment on anything other than that the operation has to do with the murder of the 27-year-old.
