Two weeks ago, a man in his 30s, a personal assistant, was found dead in a user’s apartment in Trollhättan.

Police also found a 55-year-old man, who was a colleague of the man, in the house and was later arrested but was released today.

He’s still reasonably suspected of murder.

A few days after the murder, a woman in her 40s was arrested who was later arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder.

The woman was also a colleague of the victim.

– We have a clear working hypothesis. We know that the person has come back to life. It is someone else who has done it, the wounds that the victim has could not have been inflicted on himself, says prosecutor Daniel Edsbagge.

Formerly a politician S

The suspected woman worked as a personal assistant in Trollhättan, but had previously been politically active in another western Swedish municipality.

In the 2018 elections he ran for the municipal council of the Social Democrats. He then had party assignments on a municipal committee as a replacement. The woman was also a deputy on the board of a municipal company.

He left both assignments this year.

One of the woman’s former party colleagues in the municipality in question said:

– We are as surprised as I suppose everyone else. There is no such thing in our world that this can happen. It seems strange to us.

Suspicions have been strengthened

Daniel Edsbagge also says that suspicions against the woman, who have previously been convicted of a crime several times, have been strengthened.

– There are several circumstances that lead to it. It’s evidence that makes it a probable cause, they’re stronger now than they were a week ago, he says.

It is also suspected that the detained woman has stolen valuables and money from the user in the house in question.

– It is related to our working hypothesis. Then you can figure out how the murder happened and get a background, says Daniel Edsbagge.

The prosecutor does not want to enter the status of the evidence and whether or not an object was used in the murder.

At the same time, a technical inspection of the apartment is still underway.

Technical evidence has also been sent to NFC, the National Forensic Center, but according to Edsbagge, responses will be delayed.

He hopes to be able to file a charge after the turn of the year at the earliest.

He conducted 300 interrogations

Sten-Rune Timmersjö is the head of serious crimes in Fyrbodal and says that the police questioned 300 people in the case.

– We’ve done it. We are good, says Sten-Rune Timmersjö and continues:

– I can’t say much more about the investigation. It is improving. We will have to wait for the NFC and I don’t think they even started looking at our stuff. We are far from finished with the technical exam.

GT has sought out the woman’s lawyer, Per-Åke Kvarnström. She tells Ttela that the woman denies.
