Linköping, third in a row | GP

The two-time champion Linköping team appears to be back as a superior team after falling last season and finishing seventh.

The third consecutive odd-goal victory came after Matilda af Bjur scored twice out of number. The first goal was somewhat fortunate on a counterattack when Modo goalkeeper Klara Peslarova’s dodge hit the Linköping striker and rebounded. The second came with a backhand return.

On Sunday, Luleå is absent at an early summit. Luleå took the third consecutive victory 3-1 against Djurgården. Petra Nieminen, the MVP of the series last year, scored directly on her comeback from injury.

National team goalkeeper Sara Grahn was absent due to illness and talented 19-year-old Tindra Holm, new to Modo, was guarding the box office. It was close to zero, but with just four minutes to go, Sarah Bujold outwitted her.

It was Luleå’s first goal conceded in the series and in three games the team is 14-1 in goal difference.

Luleå leads ahead of Brynäs, who are also full scorers after three rounds. SDE were defeated 2-1 on the road after new defender Rosa Lindstedt scored both goals.

Last year’s sovereign HV71 crushed last Gothenburg 8–3. Danielle Stone scored a triplet and a total of five points. Leksand took the first victory by beating the zero-scoring AIK 3-2.
