SOS was alerted to the accident shortly before 10 o’clock on Saturday.
Several police patrols, fire brigade cars and ambulances were alerted to the scene. An ambulance helicopter from Karlstad was also ordered to arrive.

The driver of the car, a man in his 55s, died in connection with the incident. His family members have been notified.
The passenger, a man in his 35s, was flown to the US… with serious injuries.
The truck driver must have survived without physical injury, but was arrested by the police. You are suspected of negligence in traffic, causing the death of another person and causing bodily injury.
But so far, the course of the events that preceded the accident has not been clarified.
– There is conflicting information on how the accident occurred. Of course, it must be investigated, says Öhman.
The police will carry out a technical investigation at the scene to further investigate. Decisions have also been made to impound the car and truck for closer inspection.
– We’ll see what the auto inspector says. You may judge that you do not need to see more cars than you have seen on the spot. The decision can then be reversed, says Mats Öhman, Örebro Police press spokesman.
Police have also thoroughly documented the surroundings for further investigation.
– We have even had UAF, or drones in everyday language. It is done very carefully so as not to leave anything to chance.
The road was blocked for several hours in connection with the incident so that rescue personnel could work.
In addition, the truck was in poor condition and the police feared that the large vehicle could overturn.
Therefore, the road was forced to close again during the time it took to rescue the truck.
