On Friday, V, M and K presented their new joint proposal to nationalize assistance support.
The parties have jointly developed the proposal, but hope to receive support from the January parties.
– If you listen to the parliamentary debates, I hope the Swedish Democrats, the Liberals and the center party are behind this, says Ebba Busch.
“Must be legally safe”
Currently the law of support and care for certain people with disabilities, LSS, is in the municipality. Something that Jonas Sjöstedt believes has failed and describes the support as “arbitrary.”
– We want the support to be legally secure, he says.
– The joint responsibility between the state and the municipality has generated uncertainty in the system. This is because the municipality and the state, in some cases, have made completely different assessments of a person’s right to personal assistance.
Jonas Sjöstedt hopes, like Ebba Busch, to count on the support of the other Riksdag parties.
– We hope to get a majority in the Riksdag with the proposal.
This is not the first time the Left Party has collaborated with Christian Democrats and moderates. Earlier this spring, the parties agreed to earmark $ 7.5 billion for social assistance.
