The event took place just before 11.30pm on Thursday night.
A man who came to Falkenberg by bicycle was run over by three people unknown to him.
The robbers had arrived at the scene in a car, stopped and then jumped on the victim who received several punches, according to police.
The attacked man managed to defend himself and then the perpetrators backed off and jumped into his car and left the scene.
– Then they go back and flee the place in the car, the complainant himself says that the bicycle is expensive and that he thinks they were looking for it, says Christer Fuxborg, press spokesman for the West region police.
Made a robbery attempt report
The man did not need to be taken to the hospital and the police wrote a report of attempted robbery.
Police did not conduct a search for the perpetrators.
– They got into a car and it was some time after the incident before he called us, so not much chance of finding anyone. But we do check if there are any surveillance cameras and similar events being reported, says Christer Fuxborg.
