Malmö FF are further away in the Europa League qualifiers.

But Ola Toivonen’s first goal, which appeared to be the only goal of the match, should not have been approved, according to Martin Åslund.

– Actually, he’s offside. Without a doubt, says the Viaplay expert.

In the first round, they knocked out Pole Krakow. Now, following a 2-0 win over Honved, Malmö is just two games away from Europa League group stage matches.

But despite a huge first-half playing advantage, it took until 43 before visiting Malmö made a dent in the Hungarians.

After a good attack, where Jo Inge Berget shot twice, captain Ola Toivonen stayed in front and pushed the Norwegian’s second shot attempt.

Jon Dahl Tomasson was very satisfied afterwards.

Johan Dahlin, who has been injured for a few weeks, was supposed to return tonight. But shortly before kickoff, Dahlin was completely removed from the team and Marko Johansson had to stand between the posts.

– I haven’t spoken to the doctor yet. But it is true that it should have started.

Surprisingly, Isaac Kiese Thelin was benched for the entire match.

– I have changed many players throughout the year. The staff is wide and good. We already have a game on Sunday again and then a new game in a week. I think it’s wise to use the whole team and keep the players healthy and motivated, says Tomasson.

Croatian Lokomotiva Zagreb then waits at home in the third qualifying round of the Europa League. That game will be played in a week, on September 24.

Next Friday the rival that awaits him will be raffled next, in a possible playoff.
