Djurgården is further away in the Europa League standings after 2-1 against Europa FC, but it was in the hair.

Both during and after the game, he was in a bad mood on Tele2 Arena.

– They broke their leg in every skirmish. Sometimes you have to say no, says coach Kim Bergstrand.

Djurgården entered the Europa League second qualifying round as a home favorite against Europa FC.

But despite that, it was Europa FC who came closest to taking the lead. The visitors were awarded a penalty late in the first half, but Per Kristian Bråtveit lunged in the right direction and saved the penalty.

What could have been a real cold shower became the protagonist a minute later, when Curtis Edwards found the right one.

Ulvestad punished

However, the equalizer Europa FC scored a goal in the fourth of the second half after a misunderstanding between PK Bråtveit and Jacob Une Larsson.

– I was waiting for “Jake” to answer me with his head. When I understand that I won’t, I start dating. We collided, so it seems a bit comical. Of course it shouldn’t happen, but that’s what happens, says Bråtveit.

In the 69th minute it was Djurgården’s turn to penalize, and for the Swedish team it was better.

Fredrik Ulvestad did what he was supposed to do and made it 2-1.

Previously, Europa FC had sent off a man and chased with ten men. The guests had a ball off the post but no one in the net and Djurgården won 2-1.

– It was not so much organized football, especially chaos. That we can’t play the game when we have one more man doesn’t feel right. But we are happy with the results, says Kim Bergstrand and continues:

– We give away the ball before reaching the end, normally you should score three goals. Making decisions in some situations is embarrassing. I think we were mentally stressed about winning this match. We tend to be pretty cool.

Riot in the player’s corridor

He was sometimes irritating on the pitch during the match and at one point Bergstrand flew and barked on the Bank of Europe.

– It was more that they broke their legs in every melee. Sometimes you have to say a little. There was very little playing time. It would have been fun to play soccer, he says.

Jesper Karlström is on the same track.

– It is difficult to play, it is completely different from Allsvenskan. They try to have a good time and film and yell. We knew it before and I don’t think we are that affected, he says.

Even after the game, it was annoying when, according to TV4, there must have been a riot in the hall.

– I do not know what happened. I just found out something was going on, says Bergstrand.

– I was about to be interviewed and didn’t see much, but I don’t think it was that dangerous, says Karlström.

Romanian Cluj now awaits in the third round of the Europa League qualifiers.
