Therese Johaug was forced to take a longer break during the summer.

She became anxious when she felt a feeling that she had not felt for several years.

Something that made her act.

It was a summer of hard training and a hard mountain hiking vacation that forced Therese Johaug to rest for several weeks after being overtrained.

“The body feels good”

Today he is back in training because he listened to his body and withdrew from training.

– When you’ve been in the game for 13 years, you know your body very well, he tells Dagbladet.

“It was a completely different feeling and I felt like something was wrong,” he says.

She says she had a sensation in her body that she hadn’t had in several years and had extensive conversations with her coaches. They, in turn, were clear that Johaug would listen to himself.

– He was stiff in the legs and had no spark. Previous hard workouts felt heavy and I didn’t feel better, she says.

Took a break in july

Johaug announced on July 19 that he took a break from training.

– It will probably be strange for me not to participate in Top Sports Week, which I have enjoyed so many times. But now I have to listen to my body and adjust the load in order to get back to normal, he said in a ski association news release.
