Influential and entrepreneur Bianca Ingrosso brings her Caia Cosmetics to Asia through a new joint venture between the owner company Beauty Icons, founder Daniel Wellington, Filip Tysander, Peter Hultgren and Bim Norman.
“The plan from the beginning has been to internationalize the brand and Asia is an exciting part of that development,” says Bianca Ingrosso in a press release.
Must have a site in Cantonese
Products are sold through Caia Cosmetics’ own site, initially in English and Cantonese. Marketing should be done primarily through local influencers.
“I am very happy to do this with our business partners in Hong Kong and with various influencers from Asia. It is incredibly exciting and inspiring to exchange experiences and learn about the Asian markets and as soon as Corona restrictions are eased, I will visit our new office in Hong Kong, ”says Bianca Ingrosso.
Caia was founded in 2018 by Bianca Ingrosso, her manager Vanessa Lindblad, and Mikael Snabb and Jesper Matsch. According to its own statement, the company has sold more than 600,000 products in 30 countries.
Last summer, 50 percent of Caia Cosmetics was sold to venture capital firm Verdane in a deal in which the company was valued at SEK 400 million.
The plan then was to continue expanding abroad.
“This is just the beginning,” Bianca Ingrosso commented on the deal at the time. She is said to have made up to $ 60 million herself with the purchase of Verdane.
The founding team is still there and runs the company.
Last year, Caia Cosmetics had sales of 55 million and made a profit of 5 million.
