After Daniel Ståhl’s start to the season, coach Vesteinn Hafsteinsson had enough.

– I’m pissed off. I’m tired of seeing failed pitches, throw like a fucking rake he told SVT Sport in July.

Daniel Ståhl accepted the criticism and went on to represent seven straight competitions over 68 meters. After mixed results thereafter, Ståhl is coming off two competitions that finished in just over 66 and 68 meters and finished second in Berlin this weekend after 15 consecutive victories.

In Zagreb, he chose the lengths again and made sure the puck landed at 68.87 meters and was able to shout his joy and deliver a little victory dance.

Simon Pettersson finished third at 66.30.

Hermansson second

In the women’s 800 meters, Hanna Hermansson stood out for a good race when she finished second in 2.02.66, the new best Swede of the year. In the same race, Meraf Bahta finished fourth in 2.04.48.

At the same distance, Andreas Kramer recently lowered his own Swedish record to 1.44.47. In Zagreb, however, he doubled up at the end and finished sixth at 1.45.39.
