It was just after 9 p.m. when the police received several calls about shooting around Sörbäcksgatan. When the patrols arrived at the scene, a man was found wounded by a gunshot.
– Later he is treated by ambulance personnel at the scene, says Evelina Olsson, press spokeswoman for the police.
Vehicle inspections performed
The man was taken to hospital for treatment. His exact injury location is not known at this time.
Police say witnesses have said that one or more suspects have disappeared on a moped in the direction of Bellevue and Lorensborg.
– There is also information that the perpetrators have fled in a car, that’s why we carry out vehicle inspections, says Evelina Olsson.
Several arrested
Shortly after 11 p.m., the police announced that they had arrested several people suspected of being involved in the incident. The police have also made some findings.
– I cannot enter the number of detainees or the suspicion. We have made some discoveries and there are things to work on. We still have patrols out. The detainees will be taken to the police station to be heard, Evelina Olsson tells TT.
A report of attempted murder has been made.
