A major police operation is underway after a man in his 20s was found shot in Hyllie, Malmö.
A man in his 20s was found shot at a grocery store in the Kroksbäck area of the Hyllie district of Malmö on Monday night.
– The police have given first aid at the scene. We have no information to leave at this time on the damage situation, says police spokesman Rickard Lundqvist.
The alarm about the shooting came at 9:14 p.m. It is still unclear exactly where the man was shot.
According to witnesses, several assailants left the scene on one or two mopeds. The assailants may have also left in a car.
At 11:10 p.m., the police declared that several people had been arrested, suspected of being involved in the incident.
– I cannot enter the number of detainees or the suspicion. We have made some discoveries and there are things to work on. We still have patrols out. The detainees will be taken to the police station to be heard, says police spokeswoman Evelina Olsson.
A report of attempted murder has been made.
