Malmö duo against AIK – Christiansen not ready

It was after 20 minutes of play in the away match with Örebro that Anders Christiansen left the field injured. Without the captain, Malmö FF lost 3-2, the club’s only other zero goalscorer at this year’s Allsvenskan.

The midfield star later said he was a calf sensation, but that he was looking forward to playing AIK on Sunday.

– It’s just a feeling. No bang. I hope I can play this weekend, said the Dane on Thursday.

But there will be no game against AIK. This is confirmed by Jon Dahl Tomasson after training on Saturday.

– “AC” is not ready, says the MFF coach.

Will he be able to play Honved in the Europa League qualifier on Thursday?

– We will see. I think he stopped in time (against ÖSK) but we have to wait a bit and see I think.

Sick Beijmo – Insecure Innocent

Christiansen did not appear in training camp, nor did Felix Beijmo, who was in the eleven of the U21 team against Italy on Tuesday, who surprisingly won 3-0. Beijmo oversaw the meeting with ÖSK on Thursday, but now he will not play AIK.

– Unfortunately he’s gotten a little sick, but it’s not corona. I mean that, clarifies Tomasson.

– Then no, he doesn’t play against AIK.

The Danish coach also says that Bonke Innocent remains an uncertain card before the AIK game. Ola Toivonen, who was back against ÖSK, will not rest before the Europa League game against Hungarian Honved in Budapest on Thursday.

– Ola will play AIK, says Tomasson.
