Reactions continue to flow after yesterday’s announcement that Israel and Bahrain have concluded a peace agreement.

Among other things, Turkey criticizes Bahrain’s decision to enter into the agreement, as the Ankara government believes that it opposes the Palestinian cause.

“This step is another blow to efforts to defend the Palestinian cause, and will encourage Israel to continue its illegal activities in Palestine and its attempts to perpetuate its occupation of Palestinian territories,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Iran is also critical of the deal.

“As of now, the leadership in Bahrain is the arms bearer of the Zionist regime, which represents a constant threat to the security of the region and the Islamic world,” wrote the Foreign Ministry in Tehran.

Bahrain is the fourth Arab country to establish full diplomatic relations with Israel, after Egypt in 1979, Jordan in 1994, and the United Arab Emirates in August this year.
