Million slap threatens Kris after reviewing support for millions

Since 2016, Kriminella’s revenge on society has received eleven million from the Heritage Fund to build a course for “lifestyle coordinators” at Tollare Folk High School. Former offenders and drug addicts with disabilities would receive an education that could provide them with work, for example in supported housing and leisure centers.

According to Kris and Arvsfonden, the project has been a success that has helped participants to find jobs. But after signs of irregularities, the Heritage Fund began an audit of the financial accounts in January, which revealed important deficiencies.

  • Costs that could not be linked to the project, including spa, debt collection, and dry cleaning.
  • Documentation is missing for, among other things, travel.
  • A project manager who also received a mentoring fee.
  • Gasoline, parking, car wash and car painting expenses. “Existence of many cars”.
  • A lot of costs for “restaurant visits, lunches and other meals” and “Costs for alcohol in relation to dinner.”

Kris has had to declare her expenses and reimburse just over 200,000. But there is still disagreement over just over a million and Arvsfonden has sent the case to the Chamber of Deputies, which will decide whether Kris should return all or part of the support.

– It’s about trusting the Heritage Fund. The money will go where it is intended, says Hans Andersson, Arvsfonden unit manager.

Critical crisis

According to Kris, a claim for reimbursement of a million or more would hit the association’s finances hard.

– It would mean that we would have to fire people from the office, we could go bankrupt, says President Germay Woldu. He believes that the errors can be largely attributed to the association’s previous management and is critical of the Heritage Fund’s actions.

– We have kept goals and budget. We have had the first three years approved, all decisions have been made collaboratively. How can you pass first and then break everything?

Following the Heritage Fund’s decision, the future of education itself is now threatened as well. He was about to be transferred from Tollare to Stensund Folk High School on the outskirts of Trosa, but now Stensund has his ears pulled out. Chancellor Petra Fasth writes to SVT that, pending the decision, it has been decided not to proceed with the acquisition.
