Last month, Israel and the United Arab Emirates agreed to end decades of hostility and signed a historic peace agreement, which will lead to full diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Now it is Bahrain’s turn.

On Twitter, US President Donald Trump posted a statement stating that Bahrain will also establish full diplomatic relations with Israel.

“Historical advance”

“This is a historic step towards greater peace in the Middle East.”, the statement, which comes from Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa.

“Opening up direct dialogue and ties between these two dynamic societies and advanced economies will continue the positive transformation of the Middle East and enhance stability, security and prosperity in the region.”, Keep going.

This is another sign that the dynamics in the Middle East are about to change, drawing Arab countries closer to Israel and isolating Palestinians, writes the New York Times. In addition, Donald Trump positions himself as a kind of peacemaker.
