Nastassja was about to laugh.
– He had the kind of laugh that made it impossible to avoid laughing. No matter how boring the joke was, it was a laugh that spread, says her sister.
She describes her older sister as creative, smart, and loving. If someone in the family had a birthday, Nastassja was always the one who wrapped the gift and drew and wrote the birthday card.
– He knew exactly how to express emotions with words. It was easy to find that it makes people feel loved.
“She did everything for the children”
Nastassja trained as a nurse and at the same time worked more as an auxiliary nurse at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm. She was also the mother of two daughters.
– Everything, everything, everything he did for the children. He loved to invent things with them. Everything from going and swimming with them to playing with them. She could really bring out her childish side, joke around with them and have fun, says the sister.
You were worried but you thought that she would come home
The last time they were seen was in late August.
– She and the children came home with our mother. They would often come and have a coffee or just to hang out. That day, she would borrow a bicycle from her mother so she could ride with the girls. It was nothing special.
A few days later, on Saturday, August 29, the sister saw that she had missed a couple of calls when she woke up.
– I called my other sister. She told me that Nastassja was in the hospital. You were worried but you thought she would come home.
Nastassja ingested amphetamine base
The family went to Södersjukhuset where Nastassja slept. They were told that he had ingested amphetamine base, a toxic precursor to powdered amphetamine, from a beer bottle.

The doctors still seemed hopeful. Nastassja had started to breathe a little harder and some brain activity had been found.
– I talked to her the whole time while I was there. I asked him to stay strong and keep fighting. She said we were all waiting for her.
On Monday afternoon, they told the family that it was all over. There was nothing else you could do.
– I think I ended up in quite serious shock. Most things are pretty blurry, says the sister.
Nastassja was unconscious after a quarter.
According to Expressen, Nastassja was invited to the beer bottle by an acquaintance when she was at a party the night before Saturday. The bottle was closed and she opened it herself. She took just one sip, then spat and said it tasted awful. In fifteen minutes she was unconscious and did not wake up again.
The man who gave him the beer bottle must have received it from his father, who works as a cleaner at the Haninge Police Station. He is believed to have received it from a co-worker who is suspected of stealing it from the police seizure room, Expressen learns.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over the weekend when Nastassja was sleeping.
Both were quickly released. One is ruled out as a suspect while the other is still a suspect of the lowest degree of suspicion in the investigation, which now has the title of murder. However, prosecutor Stefan Creutz has said that the investigation may show that it is a crime of negligence.
The shock has not abated: “You will be disappointed”
In parallel, an investigation is being carried out by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, which, among other things, deals with cases in which police officers are suspected of committing crimes. That investigation is classified as causing the death of another person and must clarify whether someone under police command has committed a crime in connection with the handling of the beer bottle.
For the sister, the shock has not completely subsided, but at the same time she feels great anger.
– That life can be so unfair. Since someone made a big mistake, which cost him his life. We don’t know who, and we don’t know if someone will be prosecuted. You will be disappointed with the whole system that something like this can happen.
