In Sweden, a total of 2,580 people have received intensive care.

On Thursday, a new death was reported in covid-19.

– In Sweden, we have a quiet development. Some increase can be expected, but then we have also increased the number of samples by 30-40 percent. The general spread in Sweden has come to a long halt, state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said during Thursday’s press conference.

Increased spread of infection in much of Europe

Anders Tegnell said that the general trend in Europe is that it is young adults who are infected with the virus, except in Greece, who experience a spread to the largest part of the population.

– In the UK, it has been a quiet summer, but now that they have released the lockdown, they have seen an increase. Spain, which was hit hard by the fall, has become widespread. France is similar. There you have a rebound again. It is not true to say that it is the same spread as in spring, because now they are testing more, Anders Tegnell said.
