The sports association board does not appear to have “been in control” of the economy for at least all of 2019, according to the bankruptcy administrator.

Just over a million crowns from taxpayers has now disappeared, and there are suspicions of a fake bank statement, fake invoices and fake signatures.

The city of Stockholm, through the Skärholmen district administration, has paid SEK 3 million to the sports association KFUM JKS Stockholm over the past two years to organize festivals for young people.

Aftonbladet has revealed how just over a million tax crowns has disappeared and is suspected, among other things, of having gone to private expenses, such as hotel nights and travel.

In February of this year, the association was declared bankrupt.

The bankruptcy trustee, attorney Jonas Premfors, has tried several times to remove the accounts of the sports association, without success.

– The information I have obtained is based mainly on information from banks. There are many expenses and, at least if you start from what is written on the bank statement, it is difficult to see that it is attributable to the association. To be sure, a lot seems to largely make up private living costs, Premfors says.

“Pure fraud”

There are also suspicions of false invoices.

– It is alleged and seems likely that someone from the association issued false invoices to various invoice recipients, the invoices have since been mortgaged to a finance company that paid a few hundred thousand to the association. If it’s true, which I suppose it is, it feels extremely serious. It’s pure fraud, Premfors says.

According to information from Aftonbladet, the suspicions are directed at a former employee within the association.

The money went

Internal documents from the Skärholmen district administration show that the former employee of the sports association is also suspected of having forged a bank statement, to hide that all the money was gone.

A screenshot Aftonbladet participated in allegedly showed that there were more than 800,000 SEK in the association’s account, but when verified, it turned out that the account had been completely emptied. The employee is also suspected of forging signatures of board members.

The trustee’s report states that the association’s board does not appear to have “been in control” of finances for at least all of 2019, and there have also been payment comments from 2016 onwards.

The incident was reported to the police; the investigation is ongoing

Ram Cornejo was president of the association in connection with the bankruptcy. You don’t want to answer any questions about the board’s police report or missing money.

– Since the investigation continues and the bankruptcy continues, it is best that you speak with the bankruptcy administrator.

Shouldn’t you have had better control of your finances?

– Like I said, there are no comments at this time. If you have any questions, you can contact the bankruptcy administrator.

We have spoken with the bankruptcy trustee and wondered why he has not submitted any accounting to the bankruptcy trustee.

– Again, you have to answer that. I have no comments.

But don’t you know why no account has been presented to you?

– Like I said, I don’t want to comment. If you have any further questions, you can contact her.

Once the money was found to be missing, both the sports association and the Skärholmen district administration reported it to the police.

The current head of the preliminary investigation in the police fraud section, Paola Wilde, does not want to comment on the investigation.

Aftonbladet has searched for the former employee of the association.
