Homework review has previously said on the hidden deal in Sigtuna between then-chairman of the municipal board, Anders Johansson (s), former Peab Bostad CEO Tomas Andersson, and a prominent figure from the municipality’s Syrian group, Ismet Karademir, a social democrat, businessman and later President of the Valsta Syrianska IK football club.

The agreement, according to sources and documents that Assignment review read, made the parties mutually beneficial for many years.

Peab’s management denies that the company participated in a corruption scheme with the Social Democrats in Sigtuna. But there is evidence to suggest that Peab knows more than he is telling the outside world.

“Dubious methods”

Through various sources, Assignment review has seen parts of the company’s internal investigation of the business in Sigtuna, where insiders within Peab speak about accounting violations and bribery.

– What could be painted Peab is to have bribed him. So it doesn’t matter in the world how much we say these deals are bad, says a high-ranking person within Peab.

The investigation consists of two parts: a survey of people and relationships and a compilation of the economy. In the latter, the researchers write:

“The brutal truth is that we in the region, through dubious methods, did bad deals and then did everything possible to hide them by moving costs, bills, income, etc.”

Investigators also find invoices on Peab’s largest construction project, Steningehöjden, which write “not related to any project we have carried out” and “to say the least leave some question marks.”

Does not comment on the investigation

Peab’s sponsorship of the Valsta Syrianska IK football club with around SEK 10 million during the years 2005-2012 turns out to be just one of a series of benefits, concessions and pure gifts that Peab bestows on Syrian associations and Syrian leaders singles in Sigtuna. According to the investigation, it is between 50 and 70 million SEK.

But despite suspicions of bribery, Peab never makes a police report. The allocation review has for several months been looking for the company to get answers about why it didn’t happen.

On the same day the review is published, Peab writes in an email that the conclusion of the security investigation, after contacts with law enforcement authorities, is that insufficient evidence has emerged that a police report leads to prosecution. and condemn.

“Therefore, action work focused on implementing changes in our own operations,” the company writes.

Manipulated results

The internal investigation also concludes that the Peab construction project in Sigtuna did not go as well as the company reported and that the results have been manipulated.

The estimated loss at Sigtuna is around 500 million crowns, something Peab never told the outside world. The company claims the figure is only based on partial analysis and does not give a true picture.

Anders Sandén, formerly Johansson, and Ismet Karademir deny having received bribes or benefits, and that they would have participated in a secret pact with Peab in Sigtuna. Anders Sandén claims there is no connection between the municipality and Peab’s sponsorship of Valsta Syrian IK.
