On Monday morning, educators at Lindeberga-Sjöängen preschool made an unexpected discovery.
There was a lot of chaos in the boys’ bathroom and it was clear that someone unauthorized had been inside the preschool.
The police were called and, once on the scene, they found a broken gun cabinet, ammunition, and a gun in the bathroom.
“Unpleasant”
– It is quite unpleasant that someone has entered our premises with weapons and ammunition. It feels a bit difficult for everyone. This clearly raises some concern, says Mikael Arvidsson, director of the Lindeberga-Sjöängen preschool, to Barometern.
The weapons locker dates back to a robbery last weekend at Linsdal in Kalmar.
Fortunately, no children approached the gun locker and the entire apartment was closed during police work.
Among other things, a technical investigation was carried out.

– It is very uncertain how they got in. We found break marks on the window, says Mikael Arvidsson to Barometern.
According to the police, there were several hunting weapons in the locker, but only one could be found at the preschool. The police theory is that the thieves passed the preschool after the robbery and found the preschool to be a good place to see the gun locker without being disturbed.
– I think you have passed by and thought that it is appropriate to be there, it may be a coincidence that you have chosen preschool. Everything indicates that they moved on foot, says Robert Loeffel, a police press spokesman, to Barometern.
The incident at the preschool is classified as an illegal intrusion and no suspects have been arrested.
