– The whole camp is on fire. At half past ten they told me it was burning in five places. These fires have just spread. New fires happen all the time. It’s chaos, says Shirin Tinnesand, who works for “Stand by me Lesbos” on Lesbos, on Norwegian TV2.

Migrants flee – entry denied

According to the Greek media, the migrants are fleeing the refugee camp. Images from the site show people, with everything they own, leaving the camp. Many are banned from nearby cities.

According to the Norwegian Dagbladet, which refers to the organization Stand my be Lesbos ”, there is also information that the rescue service cannot reach the fires.

Moria was quarantined last week after a person at the camp tested positive for corona. Subsequently, 34 other cases of corona have been found.
