In August 2018, artist Frej Larsson from Ronneby was prosecuted for two cases of threats to an official.
It was partly about the lyrics to the song “Then They Will Shoot You” and an Instagram post.
On October 29, he was acquitted in the district court for the following reasons:
The district court has found that the evidence was insufficient to link him to the posting of the Instagram post. Convicted in the Court of Appeal
The verdict was appealed to the Court of Appeals, where he was convicted last year of threatening an official.
The Court of Appeal found that the text of the song “Then they should shoot him” actually contains threats of violence against a police officer and “that the threat would likely cause great fear for the personal safety of the police.”
The court also found that the artist wrote the song to get revenge on the policewoman. The fund is a police intervention against a concert in Södermalm after suspicions of drug crimes.
