“Know what we stand for”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s criticisms have reached the player’s hotel rooms in Stockholm.
But there is a group of players who are more united by the turbulence.
– We know who we are, what we stand for and what has made us good, says Marcus Berg.
It started with Dejan Kulusevski expressing his disappointment at not being able to start against France.
He continued with a brand around the debate that Janne Andersson followed.
Then the fall storm took off as Zlatan Ibrahimovic ignited the debate and made strong accusations of Twitter.
On Sunday, Janne Andersson chose to address all the questions on the subject in a long press conference that aroused great interest not only from fans and the media, but also within the group.
– Some of us sat on the bus and followed it, admits Pontus Jansson.
– Janne does an incredibly good job, he was attacked for an hour with questions and then Gustav and John came and followed him with an incredibly good job, continues the midfielder.

“Become discussions”
Marcus Berg is a player who himself has been criticized. Especially by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in an interview with Expressen.
The veteran of the Swedish national team is now painting a picture of how the bubble around the national team somehow intensifies when attacked from outside.
– There will be some discussions in the hotel, between the players. It is clear that we read and see what is said and written, but there is nothing that affects us so much. It certainly does not affect us negatively.
What does it do to you and the group?
– I do not know if we will raise, but of course, somehow I still think that there will be some debate and we almost feel safer in what we do. We know who we are, what we stand for and what has made us good and that is something that we emphasize more when talking a little.

“In what happens”
According to Pontus Jansson, few things overlook the team of players.
– The footballers of the world today are very involved in what is happening. You read newspapers and social media. So let’s say we follow a press conference that we do often. Partly for interest in what is being talked about, but also to see Janne, or John, who was there yesterday and who is always interesting to listen to.
How then did the Brentford player see Zlatan’s post in the debate?
– It is very sad that Zlatan is a factor of power in Swedish football and it would have been more fun if he had been with us and supported us, but his opinions must be respected.
