The head of the national team would meet the media today.

Janne Andersson had promised.

But Dejan Kulusevski did not show up.

– He wants to focus on the game, says Janne Andersson.

Dejan Kulusevski has been the great snack during the first meeting of national teams this year.

Many wanted to see the Juventus midfielder in the starting eleven against France on Saturday.

He also thought so himself and expressed his dissatisfaction immediately after the game with Janne Andersson’s decision to let him intervene for the final 20 minutes, which generated headlines everywhere on Saturday night.

On Sunday, Zlatan Ibrahimovic launched into the discussion on Kulusevski’s page with a post on Twitter when the legend switched from the attack to the national team captain Andersson.

This in turn forced a press conference with Andersson on Sunday night where he had to respond to criticism from both Zlatan and Kulusevski. Janne then told me that he and the latter talked about everything and left it behind.

When Andersson was asked why Kulusevski was unable to attend the press conference together with the national team captain, Janne sent the national team manager Stefan Pettersson to find Kulusevski and take him to the podium. But Petterssons was unable to carry out the task because Kulusevski was lying on the massage table and then Janne Andersson promised that the outsider would be in his place on Monday and answer questions.

“Apologize”

But when the national team called a press conference before the game against Portugal, no Kulusevski arrived. Instead, they sent forward Janne Andersson, Marcus Berg, Pontus Jansson and Robin Quaison.

Then came the explanation that Kulusevski was not present.

– I have to apologize for having promised too much yesterday. You can talk to him tomorrow. He wants to focus on tomorrow’s game, says Janne.

How do you perceive that you are crazy after the wind has blown around you in the last few days?

– I live it as positive and charged for the game. Things like this usually get bigger for you outsiders. Those of us who live in this are used to it, he says.
