The coronavirus continues to spread in the United States: According to Reuters, the infection has increased in recent days in 22 of the country’s states. Although the spread in populous states like California, Florida and Texas is slowing, elsewhere it is going in the opposite direction.
In South Dakota, the number of cases has increased 126 percent in the past two weeks.
The increase is not limited to the United States; in various parts of the world there are now reports that the number of cases is increasing.
“Don’t spread the disease”
On Friday of last week, France warned of almost 9,000 new infections. And now comes the news that the country is getting even tougher. Today, 28 of the country’s 108 ministries – counties – are called “red zones.”
Across the English Channel, Health Minister Matt Hancock reports a “worrying” increase. It is mainly the younger ones who are infected.
– So do not spread the disease to your grandparents if you are a young person. Everyone should follow social distancing, he says.
The UK has 350,000 confirmed corona cases – 41,500 have died.
Increases around the world
The number of cases is also increasing in Denmark. Over the weekend another 350 cases were received.
On Sunday, India reported 91,723 new infections in the country. This is the highest number of new cases confirmed in one day in the world.
In Spain, according to TT, there is now talk of a second wave. Since the restrictions were lifted, the country has thousands of new cases every day.
