According to the Portuguese O Jogo, Cristiano Ronaldo is back against Sweden.
Gustav Svensson likes to watch the superstar play.
-Then maybe the team is worse, says the midfielder.
Cristiano Ronaldo was not present when his Portugal beat Croatia 4-1 in the Nations League premiere on Saturday.
His right foot was too swollen to play, probably from a wasp sting.
The Juventus star was long an uncertain card ahead of the game against Sweden on Tuesday, but now Portugal’s O Jogo is reporting that Ronaldo is ready to play.
“We can do well”
Sportbladet asked Gustav Svensson and John Guidetti if they want Ronaldo to play the match or not.
– I didn’t see the match but apparently they were very good against Croatia without Cristiano Ronaldo. Hopefully they’ll get a bit worse as a team (if he’s with him). Perhaps it is the case that if he joins, the team will get worse and it will be a bit more individual game. We may do well, Svensson replies.

“Sad if he is not with”
Guided:
– Unfortunately I have been and I have met with Ronaldo several times when you do not see him for long periods, but then suddenly it is 2-0 and he did two without understanding how it went.
The forward continues:
– He’s one of the best in the world and it’s sad if he’s not there because you always want to meet the best. Of course, it is an advantage for Portugal if they play, but as Gustav says, they are a good team regardless of whether they are there or not. Whoever enters your place will surely be very hungry and will want to show that they can take on that role.
