It was at midnight the night before Monday that the police were alerted to an industrial zone in Kjula, outside Eskilstuna.
At the scene, the police found a car and a person in his 40s sat in that car.
– There was also a whole can of diesel in the car, says Thomas Agnevik.
Traced with dog – was bitten
According to him, the man was arrested and is now suspected of stealing the diesel.
In connection with the arrest, police continued to search the area with a dog, which found a trail leading to another person, a man in his 25s.
– When he was going to be arrested, he was bitten by the dog. They bit a ham and a leg, says Thomas Agnevik.
Tetanus vaccination
According to him, police dogs are trained to track down and make people ask questions.
– If people are standing, the dog must not bite. It may not always work, but most of the time. I don’t really know how it went in this case, but if you try to run away from the dog, then it bites, says Thomas Agnevik.
The bitten man was taken to hospital to receive a plaster and tetanus shot.
– After vaccination, of course you have the opportunity to make a police report that you have been treated violently, but in my view, this is part of the use of force by the police. Basically the police can use force, says Thomas Agnevik.
Hose kit
In connection with the arrest of the two alleged diesel thieves, the police found diesel hoses and cans. Seized assets.
