The alarm was received at 5.30 pm on Sunday. The rescue service quickly arrived at the scene, as did the ambulance helicopter.
– We have a flatbed minibus that flipped over. Stay on the road, says Lars Kinnunen at the rescue service at 6 p.m.
The road was closed in both directions.
“It started to wobble, then it flipped over”
Eight people were traveling in the minibus when the accident occurred.
– According to witnesses, the bus started to wobble when it crossed the bridge over the Öre River and then overturned it.
Are there injuries?
– Yes, but as far as I know, everyone is talkative. Ambulance crews are checking all of the injured now, Kinnunen says.
– It was full of berries in the vehicle, now there are lingonberries to the end, he says.
Three to the hospital by ambulance and helicopter.
By 7:10 p.m., everyone involved had been taken to the hospital.
– One person was loaded into the helicopter and two into ambulances. The other five would go to the hospital for screening on their own, Kinnunen says.
The rescue service worked to remove all debris and lingonberries from the road. At 7.30pm, traffic could be released with limited traffic.
A tow truck has been ordered to remove the minibus.
