A wildfire is brewing in the Sierra National Forest in Northern California.

The fire that started last Friday has “exploded in size,” according to CNN.

People in the area have been asked to safety, but 150 tourists have been ordered to stay in a camp.

For campers at the Mammoth Pool water reservoir, it is important to seek protection on site while the fire is burning around them, as it is considered too dangerous for them to attempt to evacuate.

Ten of the 150 campers are said to be injured, but can safely seek protection at this time, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office writes on Facebook.

If necessary, tourists have been instructed to jump into the water to survive.

“Multi-agency rescue services must now focus on the vital task ahead: rescuing the approximately 150 people sheltering-in-place at the Mammoth Pool Boat Launch,” writes the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
