The married couple, the doctor and their head of the health unit were found murdered at their home in Hjo on March 8. From the front door and through the house, the police were able to follow traces of blood that led to a bedroom where the man lay. In the adjoining bathroom the woman lay. The couple had stab wounds and cuts on large parts of their bodies: legs, arms, torso, neck and head.
It was an individual who alerted the police after meeting the couple’s daughter in the town, bloodied and with strange behavior. This week, the daughter was sentenced to forensic psychiatric care with a special discharge test for the double murder and for the crimes of vandalism and drugs. An investigation has shown that he suffers from a serious mental disorder and that he had one at the time of the event.
Recognition in the detention cell
The woman recognized the facts from the beginning. Inside the holding cell, she was detained just days after the couple were found dead, she wrote several messages on the bare wall. One of them said: “Mom and Dad are dead. I killed them with a knife. “
However, she has denied the crime and said she did not intend to kill. The woman, among other things, has claimed that she herself was attacked. During questioning, she says:
– I was so enraged that I cut her off but it was never my will to kill anyone. Dad attacks me from behind he has one like that Taser or whatever they call them, he hits me and kicks me and I go down to the ground and it becomes a fight that I never wanted, never wanted. It was never my opinion that no one, did not even know that they died, there was such a fight and they locked themselves in the room.
– I didn’t think they were going to die, I thought they lived.
I went and bought cigarettes
But the Skaraborg District Court considers it to be murder.
“A general assessment of the intention question has revealed that NN (the woman) had a lot of resentment towards her parents, probably due to delusions. However, this does not mean that she was unaware of her actions towards her parents.“The district court writes in the ruling and states that the woman must have understood that the violence was deadly and that she had time to reflect.
After the event, the woman went out to town and visited Ica, among other places. Several witnesses noted how bloody she was.
-I go everywhere, I buy cigarettes because I am so heavenly, I am so fucked up, I have so much pain and I know that it alleviates my pain, says the woman in questioning with the police.
When the police patrol found her, she was sitting in Hjo’s park, smoking cigarettes and drinking sherry.
– I remember I was sitting next to the police car crying and I have a hard time saying something because I am in a very, very severe state of shock after the terrible thing that has happened.
There was a threat against the couple
As GT has previously been able to reveal, the police had known for several years that there was a threat against the couple and feared an upcoming double murder.
It was in connection with an investigation for illegal persecution that was carried out in the period 2015-2018 and for which the daughter was investigated, that the police and prosecutors, among other things, found several letters in which the daughter described her hatred and disgust towards their parents. However, according to the prosecutor, the plans for a possible double murder were not so concrete as to act accordingly. The case was later dropped when time prescribed.
The women’s defense attorney declined to comment on the verdict.
