Vegas continues after Lehner’s new zero: “Big guy can move”

Vegas breathed a sigh of relief and they finally managed to unseat successful Vancouver goalkeeper Thatcher Demko.
At the same time, his Knightsdress ditto Robin Lehner made sure to stay clean between the posts for the third time against the Canucks in the series.
And with that, Vegas now moves on to the next round, where Dallas is waiting.

Earlier in the evening, Dallas made sure to secure promotion after a major overtime drama against Colorado.

When Vegas and Vancouver took the ice 90 minutes later for the next decisive seventh game, more excitement was expected.

And it was exciting.

The Golden Knights did what they did throughout the series and dominated the game on ice, but despite a strong playing advantage, Demko refused to budge between Vancouver spots.

And at Vegaskassen, Lehner had the thankless task of watching long moments from the game.

But when he was called up, he did so with courage.

Midway through the game, Brock Boeser was able to push the Canucks ahead, but Lehner dove over the area and just managed to pinch a puck that seemed to be heading into a wide open goal.

“I know they say I can’t stop shots from afar but the big man can move whenever he wants,” Lehner says of his rescue after the game.

Once in the third, however, the deadlock would eventually break.

After JT Miller was sent off for a hook kick, Shea Theodore finally managed to cultivate the block behind Demko and give the Knights 1-0.

It gave Vancouver some much-needed fire in the butt, but not enough.

Alex Tuch and Paul Stastny each sent a puck into the open box to determine the final score 3-0, and therefore the Canucks playoff trip was in its final season.

And Robin Lehner can now boast of his third zero in the playoffs, all against Vancouver.

Thus, Vegas is back in the conference final for the second time in three seasons in which they now face the Dallas Stars.

The first match is played the night before Monday, 02:00 Swedish time.
