Favorite Amanda Lind is not running as the new Green Party spokesperson.

Family reasons are behind the decision.

– I have a one-year-old son at home. To combine it with being a mouthpiece, I don’t feel like I want to, he says.

Culture Minister Amanda Lind has been singled out as one of the biggest names to replace Isabella Lövin.

But to Aftonbladet it gives the message that it is not relevant.

Lind says many have heard of her and wanted her to take charge. She also says that she feels responsible for the development of the game. But given her family situation, she doesn’t want to become a spokesperson.

Hardly criticized

Recently, it has been highly criticized, especially from the cultural world. Has it influenced the decision?

– Not at all. I have had leading roles for the Green Party for more than ten years, then it is included that sometimes it sounds harsh. But it has nothing to do with this.

Who do you think should take over?

– There are many strong female politicians in the party, I trust that she will be a good spokesperson.

Open to run later

Are you willing to race in the future?

– Yes, I don’t rule it out. I have a great commitment to change, to society and to this party. Being a spokesperson is a fantastic opportunity to lead positive social development.

Isabella Lövin announced that she intends to resign as spokesperson last week. Amanda Lind was one of four candidates who were singled out by Aftonbladet sources as the most likely successor.

The Green Party hopes that the new spokesperson can be formally appointed early next year.
