In the United States severely affected by the coronavirus, Acting President Donald Trump expects a vaccine to be ready before Election Day on November 3.

US authorities urge all 50 states to be ready to distribute a covid-19 vaccine, two days before the presidential elections.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) sent a letter to states asking them to urgently coordinate vaccination clinics and be “fully ready” by November 1. The United States will go to the polls on November 3.

The coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed more than 850,000 lives worldwide, of which 180,000 in the United States alone, overshadows the election campaign. If vaccines can be started before the election, it looks like a feather on Republican President Donald Trump’s cap.

Once a vaccine is complete, people with socially important assignments, retirees and particularly affected groups will take priority, according to The New York Times.
