The need and use of digital solutions in healthcare has increased dramatically during the corona pandemic. These solutions will continue to be used even after the crisis, says Peter Tyreholt, product manager for Visiba Care, noting that more time from patient to provider is one of many benefits.
In the aftermath of the coronavirus outbreak, health care has taken a prominent place in discussions and on news sites. Health workers are under great pressure and care that is not related to the pandemic has been postponed.
– There will be no clear end to covid-19 in Sweden for the foreseeable future, but we will probably have to live with the pandemic for a long time. At the same time, there is a great need to begin pastoring care that has been postponed. So digital solutions are an important support in being able to handle a longer period of a pandemic while also making the rest of the business work, says Peter Tyreholt, product manager at Visiba Care.
Dramatic Increase in Digital Health Meetings During the Crown Crisis
Visiba Care was founded in 2014 and has since provided healthcare the opportunity to meet patients digitally, either through video calls or chat, as appropriate. The need for digital attention meetings has skyrocketed during the current crisis: Since March 11, the volume of digital meetings per day has increased by 660 percent.
– We’ve had a lot to do, to put it mildly. Many of our current clients have been extremely flexible in their working methods and several of them changed the day, says Peter Tyreholt.

Easy for healthcare organizations to adapt their healthcare offer with the platform
The company is primarily aimed at large healthcare organizations, such as regions, municipalities, or larger private healthcare providers, to which they provide a scalable digital platform under the organization’s own brand, where they can open one or more digital clinics and tailor your offers. Many have also done it in spring. Peter Tyreholt says:
– One example is the Bra Liv health centers, which is Jönköping’s primary care. Several times they have configured their care offerings to accommodate the development of virus events, for example, that patients with respiratory symptoms are received digitally first and now, more recently, to handle the extended task around sampling.

Peter Tyreholt does not believe that Swedish healthcare will return to normal once the pandemic has subsided. Surveys show, for example, that both patients and caregivers are positive about digital meetings after trying them.
– There has also been a long talk about moving the point of care, that is, where they treat you, as close to home as possible. This will now increase dramatically, as it has become clearer than perhaps ever that central gathering places are vulnerable when something is contagious, he says and concludes:
Digitization offers completely new ways to organize care and allows you to automate many processes, freeing up vital time that caregivers can spend with their patients.
Made Visiba Care
Visiba Care was launched in 2014 and today it is the Nordic region’s leading platform for digital care visits. The platform is used by more than half of Sweden’s regions, in more than 1,500 clinics and in a wide range of care activities, both in home health care and in primary care and specialty care. Visiba Care has extensive experience in helping caregivers start and successfully introduce digital care meetings.
