One person was injured after being attacked by a man armed with a stabbing weapon in front of a grocery store in Värnamovägen, Alvesta. Witnesses at the scene saw the perpetrator chase the other man down the street between several cars.
Witnesses have since found the two men on a lawn where a fight is taking place on the slopes. One man is sitting with the stabbing weapon on top of the other, says Richard Lundqvist, a police spokesman.
– So one or more witnesses stepped in very wisely and made sure the injuries didn’t get worse than they were, he continues.
When the police arrived at the scene, a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Both men, who are in their twenties, have been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are seeking information from witnesses at the scene.
