Already on Monday, the Värmland hockey club announced that a person had been confirmed infected and that the business had been closed for the time being.

After Sunday’s testing, it is now clear that the spread of the infection, as feared, has really taken off in the association.

“13 people in and around the team test positive. We have close contact with the infection control doctors at USÖ (Örebro University Hospital) who help us manage the situation to reduce the spread of infection. All members of the team A are in quarantine at the moment and the people who tested negative are waiting for a new sample soon, “says the club’s director, Torsten Yngveson.

Bik Karlskoga played a training match against Västerås last week and had a training match against AIK scheduled for Friday, a match that has now been canceled.

“Business is completely down at the moment and the game against AIK on Friday will not be played,” continues Yngveson.

Hockeyallsvenskan is scheduled to start on October 2.
