The school is governed by business logic rather than learning – various education experts write on Svenska Dagbladet’s discussion page. They are critical of the decision by the National Agency for Education that Swedish school statistics be ranked and brought up for debate after five proposals to the government to create a more egalitarian school.
Among the proposals is to make school statistics public again to provide a better understanding of school activities, abolish school choice, and halt the possibility of making profits in independent schools.
He also wants to create “a national policy advisory center for the evaluation of school reforms.”
“Teachers and principals almost became salespeople with demands for profits rather than ensuring the rising generation is ready for adulthood as citizens and in the job market,” they write, among other things.
