Johan Kristoffersson took the second victory of the season in the WC.

Johan Kristoffersson extends the leadership of the World Championship in rallycross.

By taking his second victory in three competitions.

The Swede reached the Finnish Kouvola with a two-point lead in the World Cup recap. After the first of two races on the weekend, the same lead is 16 points.

This is thanks to incredibly accurate starts in all qualifiers, as well as in the semi-finals and finals.

– When you sit down, sit down. I trained a lot starting
during the years -17 and -18 and I would say they are as good now as they were in
late 2018, says Kristoffersson.

– I have always said that it is important to be even in this year’s series and I also had that in mind in today’s final.

Extended management in the WC

The Swede, who was the fastest every time he was on the piste, won three seconds ahead of local skier Juha Rytkönen. Timmy Hansen, Sweden, finished third.

– The first time it happens. I’ve never been here before. TO
be the fastest from the first training session and later, without anyone
Teammate to compare with, finding ways to advance so you can drive even faster feels great, says Johan Kristoffersson.

On Sunday the fourth World Cup race of the season will be decided, at the same stadium.
