A 40-year-old Irishman pleaded guilty on Friday to the murder of 39 Vietnamese immigrants who were found dead in a truck trailer on the outskirts of London in October last year. The Vietnamese were probably asphyxiated. He is, therefore, the second man to admit crimes in the investigation.

The world was shocked by the news that the Vietnamese, 31 boys and men and 8 women, were found in the dumpster in Gray, east London. The investigation is one of the most important in British history.

The man who had previously confessed, a Northern Irishman, was driving the truck, but also the 40-year-old was involved in royal transport and admitted to being an accessory to human trafficking.

Another man, a 23-year-old from Northern Ireland, denies wrongdoing.

A trial against the three will begin in London on October 5.
