The crime must have taken place at an address in Norrköping between January 28 and January 30, 2020.
In addition to the crimes against Esmeralda, the mother is accused of extremely serious abuse against Esmeralda’s younger brother, which should have taken place between November 1, 2019 and January 30, 2020.

The trial against Esmeralda’s mother is expected to begin on May 25. If the mother is sentenced, she may be sentenced to forensic psychiatric care, Aftonbladet previously reported.
