Corona crisis puts private employment agencies through tough tests

Unemployment in Skåne is increasing rapidly. It is important to find 20,000 new jobs for everyone who has been laid off. But the Labor Office does not do this alone. This is mainly done by private players.

The labor crisis is affecting the entire country. and most industries. Unemployment is higher in Skåne than elsewhere, but is unevenly distributed across the county. In April, Malmö was the municipality with the highest unemployment rate in Sweden, at 14.7 percent. The neighboring municipality of Lomma was the lowest with 4.1 percent.
