The Swedish border remains closed until June 15, says Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) at a press conference. The ban also applies to all foreign citizens traveling to Sweden from non-EU countries, as well as some other countries.
The message came from the prime minister after a parliamentary investigation on Thursday. He did not justify the decision, but took the opportunity to pay tribute to the political agreement.

During Question Time, Ulf Kristersson put pressure on Löfven, who wanted to know who is responsible for Sweden reaching 150,000 tests per week.

Kristersson criticizes the government for “having been satisfied with asking the authorities for a strategy” and then believing that “it solves itself”.
According to Kristersson, it has been quite obvious that mass testing is a difficult logistics device, that it involves laboratories, personnel, and sampling chains.
This is not something you solve with a desktop product. In many countries, the entire tent system is configured to have a rapid sampling procedure, says leader M.
He interprets that the government blames the regions for not doing the tests correctly.
TT: Do you think the government should better control the tests?
Absolutely. They must take command of this and create an organization of private stakeholders, laboratories and clinker, all that is needed. I understand this is difficult, but other countries have been successful.
Löfven, answering Kristersson’s questions on camera, said that he is not completely satisfied with the exam situation.
We will come with more tests, the 100,000 are fixed. I share the frustration that things have gone too slowly, but I don’t believe in building a whole new strategy, a whole new structure in this situation. It wouldn’t speed everything up, Löfven argued.
Kristersson thinks that the consequences will be devastating for Sweden unless the tests become more numerous.
People are at work, although they shouldn’t be, or they stay at home even when necessary at work. That is the immediate thing, says leader M. And when we begin to reduce the restrictions, we do not know the consequences.
