A few days ago, a list of confidential patient information was found in an infection room at Kristianstad Central Hospital in a schoolyard in the township.
The list contained data from 21 patients from April 20. In addition to their names, social security numbers, and illnesses, there was also handwritten information about individual patients, including “schizophrenia,” “black vomit,” and “diaper for the night,” according to Kristianstadsbladet.
In normal cases, this list is printed daily and kept in a secret box after the end of the work session. Procedures can now change.
– Obviously, this routine has not worked in this case, and it is deeply regrettable. I’ve been working as an operations manager for almost 20 years, and I’ve never been aware of this before, Staffan Banke, manager of infection operations at the hospital, tells Kristianstadsbladet.
