The Norwegian Ministry of Justice is now releasing some of the entry ban regulation that has been in place since March 15.

– We are now open to EEA citizens who visit children, spouses or partners. Of course, EEA citizens can also visit their parents in Norway, Justice Minister Monica Mæland (H) tells VG.

The new rules begin to apply immediately. Those who wish to travel to Norway to their country house or family, and only stay in one place, do not have to be quarantined when they return home.

Encouraging cheerful Germans

Many of the Germans are happy to be able to visit their country houses in Norway. One of them is the German Martin Ehlers who yearned for his summer paradise in Vanylven in Møre og Romsdal.

– We are grateful that the Norwegian state has opened this opportunity, I did not expect it to be so fast, he tells NRK.

But Norwegians who want to visit cabins in Sweden and hope for relief may be disappointed. They still have to quarantine for 10 days when they return to Norway.
