She disappeared from Walkesborg in Uddevalla in mid-November 2019, and the police issued a major search warrant. Through the voluntary organizations Missing People and Fikk, a large number of individuals also participated in the daily search for the girl.

Wilma Andersson’s boyfriend was arrested shortly after her disappearance and at the beginning of the investigation found a body part that allowed police to rule out that she was still alive.

– The police have done everything possible to find the girl. We have searched Uddevalla, both on land and in water, and it has been valuable that hundreds of volunteers have helped us in this work. Now we have to try the case in court and it is satisfactory, said Sten-Rune Timmersjö, head of serious crimes in the Fyrbodal police area, in a press release ahead of the indictment filed on Wednesday in the Uddevalla District Court.

Prosecutor Jim Westerberg said the other day:

– Extensive investigative measures have been taken in the case. Among other things, a large number of interrogations have been conducted and an extensive crime scene investigation has been carried out. A lot of trace analysis has been done at the National Forensic Center (NFC), which is now complete.

“There are things you want to do”

In connection with the indictment, the evidence against the 23-year-old suspect will also be made public.

The groom has always denied crime.

– Denies having anything to do with his disappearance or death. There are things you want to present at the next trial that I think shed light on how this has gone. So I do not mean his death and disappearance, but how it has been. They were still living together, says their advocate, attorney Beatrice Rämsell.

She explains that her client is awaiting trial and that she will soon be allowed to speak in court.

– He thinks it is wonderful to finally have the opportunity for a proper trial for having committed what the prosecutor claims. He hopes to present all the circumstances. Not just the ones the prosecutor chooses to file, says Beatrice Rämsell.
