Hannes, 19, was last seen more than a week ago in Sundsvall.

Police now suspect he may have been kidnapped.

– This feels sad, says Hannes’ father Markus.

On Monday, May 4, Markus spoke to his son Hannes on the phone. So Hannes was at Sundsvall.

– Soon after, my brother spoke to him on the phone. But then the conversation suddenly stopped, says Markus.

Since then, Hannes’s phone has been turned off and she has been unable to communicate. The next day he was reported missing.

– I have called and asked people and searched for information to find out where it may be, says Markus.

Suspected kidnapping

Markus lives elsewhere. When he couldn’t locate Hannes, he went to Sundsvall to look for him.

– We always talk at least once a day. Everyday. He’s 19 years old. He is young. This feels sad, says Markus.

Police are working on the case and believe that Hannes may have been kidnapped.

– We have received several tips that make the disappearance classify as human trafficking. There is no objective evidence to show that this is the case, but we are investigating the veracity of the councils that have come in and are conducting interviews, says Åsa Mjörndal, a press spokesman for the Northern Region police.

Disappeared in Sidsjön

Hannes was last seen on May 4 in Sidsjön, a natural area just outside the center of Sundsvall.

Missing People has been linked to the case and has posted an announcement on its website and social channels. During his Monday night, his first search on the ground around Sidsjön began with internally trained personnel, drones and dog drivers.

During Tuesday afternoon, the organization asked for a general skull and sought public help in the search.

Anyone who may have information about the case should call the police at 114 14.
