The left party requires an additional SEK 25 billion for municipalities and regions.

Unless the government advises within a week, V threatens to push it with other parties.

Exactly SEK 25 billion is not the most important thing, but more information will be announced, the party’s economic policy spokeswoman Ulla Andersson (V) said at a press conference.

– If we get a little on the road, it is much better than the current situation, she says.

Party leader Jonas Sjöstedt emphasizes that if nothing is done, cuts are already expected this year. The measures the government has put forward, C and L, are enough to cover urgent needs, he says.

– If they choose to continue the cuts, we will start talks with moderates and Christian Democrats to see if we can do what we did in January, says Jonas Sjöstedt.

Later, the Left Party brought more money to the municipalities along with M and KD and with the support of SD.

– Municipalities and regions must be given a space so that they do not have to make the cuts they have marked, says Jonas Sjöstedt.

He expects the government to warn quickly, but otherwise V is ready to negotiate with other parties, who also want to add more resources to municipalities and regions than the spring budget.

– We extend a hand to the government. We want them to know us, that would be the best, says Sjöstedt.
